Spooktini

Before the month gets away from me, I wanted to share a couple spooktacular Halloween treats with you.  It’s almost the weekend, so I had to go with a cocktail.  I am an absolute sucker for a signature drink at a party.  They’re so fun and festive!  Since there’s no better time to use party specific cocktails than during the holidays, I give you the Spooktini!  I found the idea on pinterest and had to put a little CGC spin on it.  I made Green Apple Martinis for mine, but if you wanted to make a mocktail for the kiddos, any slime green, non alcoholic drink would be perfect.

Spooktini (Green Apple Martini)

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces of your favorite vodka
  • 2 ounces of midori or green apple schnapps
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 tube of red gel icing.

Instruction

To rim the glasses with the gel icing, just squeeze out a little of the icing around the rim of the glass and then make streaks down the sides of the glass in various lengths.  If you’re using grenadine syrup, pour about 1/3 cup in a shallow bowl.  Dip the glasses in the syrup and then turn them right side up allowing it to drip down.

Pour the vodka, schnapps/midori, and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake for about 30 seconds to get it good and cold.  Divide and pour into the rimmed martini glasses.
